In four years (by 2013) the trustees hope to report that: Many more children from poor and one-parent families are attending school Education is in small classes of 25 children The school employs teachers passionate about working with these children The school is well resourced to enable poor children to receive the kind of education currently available only to the rich Teaching is undertaken by trained teachers Unemployed young people and other members of the community are improving their skills and education through evening classes The community are receiving health education training and family health is improving Everyone has mosquito nets There is an adequate drainage scheme in the community to eliminate mosquito breeding grounds There is a health clinic with trained personnel to provide first aid and advice There is an adequate clean water supply Women and young people have had the opportunity to train in business and loan management skills, have set up their own businesses and are self sufficient The economy of the community is improving and there are fewer people living below the bread-line The rubbish has been cleared from the waste land and the land is used for urban horticulture and recreational purposes All people have the opportunity to undertake computer training read less
